E Family Photos

I've always loved taking pictures. Completely OBSESSED with it actually so when I got my new fancy (to me) camera I was head over hills in obsession!
So, my friend at work asked if I would take some pictures of her family and I relunctenly agreed. We had our session Saturday at Percy Warner Park (GORGEOUS) and it turned out pretty good. They like them anyway!

Meet the Eakes + (I say this because it was both sides of the family lol)

Some of my favs of the nearly 500 I took!

The center of attention!

THE END!

Thanks for being so cooperative guys *VH*

Self Esteem - I don't have any!

I've never been one to carry a lot of self esteem of myself around. I have no clue why I lack in that department but I do. I love things that I do and parts of myself but overall I'm not keen on me!

I think I'm a good person. Great sometimes actually, so in that I'm a little conceded, but that's all thanks to my Mom. She made me a great person. But what she didn't help me have is self esteem. Truth is can someone help you have that? I'm not real sure.
In any event, I never have full confidence in what I'm doing. I love doing things such as making invitations, taking photographs and creating gifts, however I never am pleased with what I do.
Lately though I'm getting better at being confident in myself. Compliments always help of course and I'm getting lots of praise from people lately, which is nice :) However I'm still left with "they are just saying that to be nice" thing I can't overcome - what's up with that? I'm such a weirdo!

I'm blessed with friends that are always quick with their praise and compliments and constant desire to push me to do more and more on my creative side. For that I LOVE you guys! You rock! But it's going to take some deep doing and maybe lots of money on therapy to get me to have more self esteem. It's always been a downfall of mine.

At least I took some family pictures of a friend and they all seem to love them! More on that next!

SMILE!

Tonight I took the opportunity of my rented lens to get some Fall pictures of Girlie. Ran to a nearby park and took advantage of the scenery.

She was in a pretty good mood so there was only a LITTLE bribbing! I was pretty pleased with alot of the shots. I mean getting about 21 decent pictures from 100 isn't bad :)

A few of my favs

This face cracks me up! She walked down the stairs and realized it was a little scary down there!

Gosh she's beautiful! Even if she is MINE!

The rest are HERE

BRAG! BRAG! BRAG!

I'm bragging today!

It's my blog and I'll do what I want! :)

Yesterday when I picked Girlie up from preschool I was so happy to see her activity of the day - WRITING HER NAME!! She did so great. I'm so proud and so in awe actually. This is a child that couldn't write anything, maybe an O - because it was a circle! Anyway, now she's writing her name? I'm so impressed and happy!

See how proud she was too

Soooo cute

I am one proud momma!!!

WORRY WART!

Ya know, I think I'm always guilty of worrying about things that do not require worry. I worry about worrying (anyone can attest to this that knows me well). But almost always I realize that what I was worrying about wasn't worth it and turned out to be the best thing possible anyway. Case in point, Girlie's new preschool. I hated making that decision. I did. I lost tons of sleep and worried sick about the change and situation. Well, call me dumb because I'm so happy she's there now. She loves it, I love it and the teachers adore her! (who doesn't adore her? :D )

Anyway, she's learning so much already. Already knows how to write A,E,H,O & Q by herself and knows sign language to several letters - ALL IN A WEEK! :)

I've always been blessed with Girlie's caregivers. Been so lucky with them and this was no exception - why did I worry?

Miss Independent!

I think it's ironic how when you have a baby and they are newborn and then one-ish that you wish they could do more for themselves. But then now - at nearly 4 - she's doing more for herself and well it's sad!
Case in point this morning, she was getting dressed and she was putting on socks and shoes and I thought she needed help. She clearly didn't. She got them all on herself and even did a fantastic job!
I don't know that I'm ready for my baby to grow up just yet. Yes, I'll be the first to admit that I have said numerous times "I can't wait until she can do this and that by herself." But I think I lied! I'm not ready for it yet. She's grown so quickly and ironically I'm not ready for her to do all these things without me :(

So obsessed with BLING!

Girlie's current girlie obsession is bracelets. The child likes them all, every kind, shape, color and texture. But she does have a favorite and it's one I picked up at Gymboree awhile back. Well I decided to check and see what other colors that Gymbo had and ordered 5 more for her. All array of colors.

I love that she's so girlie and loves jewlery! A girl after her Momma's own heart!

Se was so excited when we got them in yesterday and after I took them out one by one and we talked about their colors she then asked "Is that all?" :( I was heartbroken. My ungrateful spoiled child. I quickly put the package back on the shelf and let her know that it wasn't ok for her to ask those kind of questions that even if it had been a sheet of paper she should just smile real big and say I LOVE IT and be grateful for whatever. She cried of course not getting them at first but then she sat down and thought about it and said "Momma I'm so sorry I said was there more, I just really wanted to know if there was more!" :) Oh my sweet girl. We talked a little more about being appreciative and then in a bit she got her bracelets.

I think she loves them!

Tough girl and her bling!
