Christmas 2009

Now that all the gifts are open and the house looks as if Toys R Us threw up in here, I have time to post a few pics from Christmas.

First we have a few from preschool Christmas play. She was a Mom of a family that went to pick the PERFECT Christmas tree - cute right?

Actually singing We Wish You a Merry Christmas at the end.

Beautiful!
Christmas Eve we headed to Louisville to be with the family there. I don't have the pictures uploaded from there yet, but I will get those soon.
Then came Christmas day.
Vegas bright and early. I was such a kid. I got up about 4:30. I couldn't sleep a wink!
She was up about 7:30 and THRILLED with what she saw!
Santa brought her the ...

SALON she wanted! Can you tell how thrilled she is?

Spraying the camera with "hairspray" Turns out THIS is her favorite thing and Santa could have skipped the expensive salon and just gotten a spray bottle... geesh.

VERY pleased with a ballet outfit.

The shirt says it all - Troublemaker... look at that face!

Thrilled with a purse Bible

BOOOOOKS!!! Oh it pleases me to no end that she loves books so much!

Daddy got what he wanted too! Beatles Rock Band.

A few dress up outfits were part of her stash and this was the cutest! Isn't she the best Cleo?

Walk like an egyptian!

We had a very blessed Christmas and we are looking forward to a wonderful new year. She will be turning 5 in a week! Can't believe it. Right now we are in 5th Birthday Carnival mode!! FUN FUN!
We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas! HAPPY 2010!!!!

Cookies for Santa!

Last night we headed over to a friends house for dinner and making cookies for Santa. This is our second year having this little fun get together and this year our friends graciously hosted and IT WAS A BLAST!

I found the cutest cooking set at Macy's and had to get them. Look at these kiddos all decked out and ready to bake!

Then the cookie making began. First cutting them out and baking.

After cooling, decorate!!

Lots of yummy sprinkles and icing!

Finally they are finished... and we are silly!

We made the cutest cookies ever and Santa will be thrilled!

Thanks again E family for having us over! :) WE LOVED IT! Already looking forward to next year!

Our Christmas card

I love sending out Christmas cards, but I love receiving them more!
Each year months before I'm trying to think of something different or fun or just down right beautiful. Last year our card was made from a piece of Girlie's art, it turned out really cute. This year, I did something a little different. It was a labor intensive process but I love the way they turned out and I've gotten so many compliments on them.

Here's what it looked like out of the envelope

Then after you pull James shows up

Then me

Then her

And lastly Vegas!!!

The inside is basic just a verse but aren't they hilarious? I love Vegas' head in there. It really cracks me up!
I think they were worth every minute of construction!

I WON!!

This is the second blog giveaway I won in the past few months :) I can't believe it.

One of the great blogs that I frequent Mix, Mingle & Glow was doing a giveaway for her #10 favorite things. She had a party and gave all of the lucky attendees her favorite things. She also was giving away a bag of the fav things to one lucky reader and I will be getting the bag of goodies mailed to me. ME!! :)

You have to visit her blog and see what amazing ideas and things Robyn has done. She's an amazing planner!! I know someone that she planned a wedding for and she did such a great job!
If you are in FL and want someone fab, check her out. No, check her out either way, she's awesome!

Thanks Robyn!! I can't wait to see what other favorite things you had at your party!

SANTA!!

Post #2 for today!!! See the one about the gingerbread house below!!!

This weekend was a fun one for us. We hosted my college girlfriends for the weekend for our annual Christmas get together. This is #11 for us! I love those girls so much. They are much like sisters!

Here we all four are (picture taken by girlie)

Girlie and Aunt J

We had such a great time. Girlie and A loved being together and had a blast with all the toys. We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and shopped til we dropped! WE MISS YOU GIRLS ALREADY!!

Then last night we headed out to see SANTA!! She is still a little apprehensive but she did great. She was going to tell him she wanted three things: a salon, hello kitty roller skates and a teddy bear to sleep with. However, when she got up there she got scared and only told him the salon. Well, Santa is really going to try and bring all three ;)

Here she is waiting to see Santa

We visited Santa at the Bass Pro Shop in Opry Mills Mall. You can take your own pic and they print out a free 4x6. Here is my pic

Girlie has also been having fun with a 12 days of Christmas basket. On the first day of Christmas her Mommy gave to her, a sip-a-bowl (bowl with a straw on it lol). On the second day of Christmas her Mommy gave to her, a set of Snowman gel window clings. On the third day of Christmas her Mommy gave to her, a set of ball popper toys (hard to describe lol)

Daddy also got a 12 days basket and his gifts so far were football cards and hand sanitizer. Since he hasn't opened todays I won't tell just in case he reads the blog (wishful thinking!)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! There will be more going on in here soon!

Gingy House

Last year we made our first gingerbread house with my brother's kids while they were here for Thanksgiving. It was so fun we decided to make it a holiday season tradition.
This year I let Girlie go to town all by herself. The one I bought this year wasn't as big as last and the icing wasn't as easy to work with but it was fun either way.

Plenty of pics to do the talking!

Isn't this the prettiest gingerbread house you ever did see?

I know this is DEFINITELY the cutest girlie you ever did see!!

Christmas traditions are super fun! We need more!
