I love that Girlie's new preschool has a live video option!

It's so neat watching them play/sleep/eat. It's actually a little addictive; however a nice feature!

I've been checking in all day (as well as everyone else I gave the info too today) and I love seeing her be so good. Let's hope that continues!

I love watching her this morning and seeing her listen so well. Ok, I just LOVE that I can see her on video there!

"Big Girl School!"

Today was Girliey's first day at her new preschool!

We hated to leave Mrs. Crystal's because we love it there so much but we thought it was time that Girlie has more of a classroom atmosphere to prepare herself for true school in a few years! We found a preschool near my work that seemed to fit perfectly!

Today was her first day of "big girl school" as she calls it. She was so excited this morning to take in her blanket and pillow as well as her supplies. She thinks she's so big and truthfully she is. I can't believe how fast it's gone. Nearly 4 - how does that happen overnight?

I definitely no longer have a baby!

6 Years of Wedded Bliss!

Six years ago on 9/28/02 I was lucky enough to marry the most wonderful man ever!

Our lives have been better and worse - richer and poor - sickness and health and we've sustained through it all so far!

I'm so lucky to have found "the one" and that we are going through life together now with our baby girl! We have our gripes just like any other couple but we laugh a ton and to me that means the most!

It's a milestone!!! Last night Girlie slept through the night in "big girl panties" and didn't have an accident. Needless to say it was a restless night for the both of us but the positive side is that at 5:11 am she woke up and said "Mommy, I have to potty!" And we pottied and straight back to bed!

This is a huge deal for us because she hasn't gotten up a single morning of her entire life dry - ever!! I'm so proud of her. This on top of no pull ups at nap and a new preschool next week - she's growing up so fast!
Maybe that's why I'm so emotional lately!

I hope this is the beginning of the rid of absorbent underpants forever!!!

OPEN WIDE!!!!

Today Girlie had her very first appointment with the DENTIST!
She loved it and was so excited too. When we walked up to the door she literally jumped up and down with excitement chanting dentist...yay... dentist! So cute! I hope she keeps up that enthusiasm for the next 100 years!



She did so well during the cleaning too. Since she's only 3 they don't put them through the actual real cleaning and only brushed her teeth really really good and then put on some fluoride by brushing as well.

She got a wonderful report and they went on and on about how great she was and how well she followed their direction. The hygienist even said that having her for the first patient made her day start out wonderful! :) The dentist just looked in her mouth a bit and was pleased with what he saw. We'll go back again in 6 months! Off to a great start!

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Fall might possibly be my most favorite season ever. Eventhough I'm excited about fall coming it's bitter sweet as well. I love alot of things summer has to offer, such a swimming, but fall just makes my heart swell!




Fall reminds me of so many things and gets me excited for quite a few as well, such as:

- FOOTBALL! I remember the feel in the air when we started band practice. Those crisp nights playing on the field. Oh I love and miss it so.

- PUMPKIN PATCHES! I love taking Girlie to the pumpkin patch. This will be our third year in a row and I can't wait! So many fun things and pumpkins too!

- HALLOWEEN! I love this holiday so much. I know it gets a ton of bad rep sometimes because it can be viewed as the devil's holiday by some but honestly it is what you make it and at my house it's all about a neat costume and yummy candy! And maybe a few cavities afterward :)

- PUMPKIN PIE! Quite possibly my fav type of pie ever!

- THANKSGIVING! Seriously what event isn't the best when it's all about a day of food?

- JACKETS/LONG SLEEVES! I love pulling out the clothes again because I feel I have something new, the summer clothes are getting stale already!


All of these things make me love fall! It seriously puts a grin on my face to think about it. I can't even describe that feeling I get when the air is screaming fall!

I have two posts today! :)

Yesterday Girlie was a lucky lucky girl and got a new Barbie Jeep. OMG she loves this thing!

We got it home and put together and she rode it last night but it was too dark for photos. However, today after church we took lots. She has so much fun driving it and boy does she go fast!!

Everytime she has went for a ride so far she's had to bring a passenger... Bitty Baby!

And truthfully if her driving doesn't improve in the next 12 1/2 years BEWARE on the roads. lol

Stuck at home... because there's no gas!

I'm not technically stuck at home this weekend. I was one of the lucky ones that was able to get gas yesterday in a short time frame of about 20 mins. I know some people have waited upwards of 1 1/2 - 2 hours... crazy!
For some reason Nashville is having a serious gas shortage. I blame alot of it on the media. Saying that we wouldn't get gas for awhile and BAM the whole city went out and bought gas. In a city of our size it's tough for 50-60% of the stations to be out of gas. And I'm not talking low or just got a little gas, I mean NO gas!

It's really hard for me to realize that we are having that much issue with gas. What is the problem? I just don't get it! I'm hoping that there are no issues this week with getting gas again. It's made for a crazy panic in town and it's kinda loopy!

Until this is all over I guess I'm stuck just making the regular runs - work, store and home! Should be a fun week!

Oh, so that's what that feels like!

Well yesterday was one of the few days I was actually excited to see the mail laying on the table. In it was the title to James' car! HOLY COW - it's finally paid off and we finally have the title in our hands. I've never in my life not had a car payment or had a car that was paid for (hello, I've only had 4 cars and been driving for only 10 years - that's embarassing). Mom was gracious and helped me get my first car. Actually, it was a birthday present for my 21st birthday. :) Purple Chevy Cavalier. Oh I loved that car. It was so nice and deep dark purple. I wish I had a pic of it! Then there was my Honda Accord that I leased (I KNOW DUMBEST DECISION EVER!). After the lease was up there was the Ford Explorer

(love this vehicle but come on it literally gets like 1 mile per gallon and with gas prices right now - stupid purchase). But in between the Honda and Explorer James and I bought him the Mitz. Overall the car has been good. It's had some issues that luckily Nathan (cousin) could fix and love it's heart in the last year it's had a fair share of accidents (3 in 6 months) and it still has a serious boo boo that needs fixing!

POOR THING! (it looks worse now though, rusting :( )

But yesterday we finally OWN it! I mean we've owned it for a month or so already but finally have proof that we own it! :) GOTTA LOVE THAT!!

I'm hoping that baby drives for another two years. I'd love to spare a car payment until the truck is paid off! (Feb 2010, so not even two years). Lance, as James has named him, has been good to us. Thanks for all the memories Lance and please give us tons more! I know you are about 104,000 years old (# of miles on him) but please let us get a good 50,000 more or so!

The only constant in the world is change

I had a professor that always said that, well at least I think that's how he put it. lol

Soon Girlie will start a new preschool/daycare and while the change has been really hard for me to accept, I feel better everyday that we made the right decision and she's going to excel and this will be wonderful for her. She's so ready to do this. I know it. I know that she needs a place that is challenging and with all kids her age in her class. Kingergarten readiness!! However, my heart just wouldn't jump on board. I'm glad to say that it finally has started too and I'm less anxious and scared about the transition. Girlie's such a great kid and adjusts better than I ever thought of. I'm excited for her first day of "big girl school" and so is she!

I'm just glad that my heart is finally getting excited too!

Just like Mom use to say "if everyone jumped off a bridge would you?" Apparently I would!

You'll see in this blog I'm long winded, hince the title of the blog. I talk alot, period. I ramble and at times I do not even make sense. I've never claimed to be a good writer, in fact, it's something I'm terrible at. Give me a creative project I'm on it, writing - fuhgetaboutit!

I'm starting this to vent, talk, make lists and overall just blab and blab because as a Gemini it's what I do!

I'm excited for blog world! It seems like a nice place to be! So now I'm going to get all cozy and settled in.
