Skater Girl

Yesterday after church we decided to take Girlie roller skating. She's never tried it before at a rink. She had a pair of skates that fit over her shoes awhile back but we missplaced one and so the story goes. This was her very first time really skating. She LOVED it!

I have TONS of pics to show off how much fun we had!

Wasn't long and a little girl came up and asked if Girlie needed help. She grabbed Girlie's hand and they skated together for awhile - so cute!

I took this one with my cell phone. I love how everything around her is moving but she doesn't appear to be :)

She fell, A LOT, but she was super determined and got right back up.

She was trying so hard and would "really" skate a few times and then fall or decide she wasn't doing it right lol

but those wee skates... those things are adorable!

We'll definitely be going back. Momma didn't get on skates this time as to take pics of the first adventure. Skates and my cameras wouldn't have mixed! Yes I said cameras. I had my "big" camera, my flip cam and my cell phone LOL I was packin'!

Just two days ago I finally entered the world of smartphone. I had no idea what in the world I was missing. Instant email, web browsing on demand and apps... oh the glorious apps. I'm not sure how I made it through life so far without it. The best feature so far? This! Blogging by palm! SWEET!!!

Let's Go Predators!

Last night the Nashville Predators, NHL, returned home from Chicago for their playoff game. They were tied with the Blackhawks 1-1 in the series and we really wanted them to win. We got 3 tickets to the game and OH MY did we have good seats. The best!!

Nashville was buzzing when we got downtown to the arena. They had set up inflatable slides...

and they had goofy characters walking around too! I kid... this one is mine, and I'll keep him!

But look at the view we had. We're talking 5 rows from the ice folks. AWESOME!

My kids enjoyed it tremendously!

and YES we were this close to the tunnel they come out of and their bench... so great!

See... there sits Ward watching his teamates kick some Blackhawk bootie!!

The excitement in the building was amazing. Girlie felt it too and whooped and hollered with her towel all night.

And victory is SWEET! Preds won 4-1. Take that, Blackhawks!!

We are now huge Preds fans. We'll attend all the game we possibly can next season, for sure!

I'm so glad they won and I hope they take the Blackhawks again on Thursday!

Strong girl

She amazes me daily with her strength. Today she plopped right on down adn did some push ups... actual push ups! Here she is doing them and then her favorite, a cartwheel

Truth is I ONLY take it off at night and when showering. Otherwise, I don't and I'm not sure when I will! I've had 1,000,000 compliments on it too. Because well, I get around and I see about 1,000,000 in a weekend! lol


But the beauty of this is that it's homemade, which I adore and the packaging was part of it's beauty. Look at the saying stamped onto the box. SO TRUE!

Big Bro cape

Since I was off of work today I decided to craft. One of my really great friends is having her second son on Monday. I'm so excited for them and know that big brother H will be super big brother. Because of that I wanted to make him something special. I decided to make him a SUPER BIG BROTHER cape.

I went through my, ok Mom's, stash of fabric and found a few that would work. I used a cape that Girlie has as a cutting guide. I decided to make it reversible as well.

Not a tough project really and not perfect by any means but I think he'll love it. And I didn't take any close ups of the cape because it's "that bad" lol

I'm trying to make little phrases like Supermans to put on the card. If only I was a good writer.
