All things Girlie!

Yesterday we had our 6 month visit to the dentist. Last September was her first time to the dentist and it went great. This time things went a little differently though.

They actually used instruments on her this time, they just used a toothbruch last time. She wasn't so sure about the polishing, she said it tickled. She didn't seem to mind the suction though. The tech just kept telling her to give it a kiss hehe.

We waited awhile between cleaning and seeing the dentist. She was antsy but looked so small, but yet so big, in their chair.

We got to see her X-rays too! So neat.

No cavaties :) and we'll just go back in 6 months! They did note that two of her adult teeth aren't showing up yet. We are hoping they are still forming but that could come up later as an issue. Let's hope not.

I also need to share this! lol While she was laying there waiting for the dentist she pulls up her feet and goes "I'm going to call this foot mmmm (as in this smells good) and this foot p.u. (as in this smell bad)." So she pulls up one foot and smells it and says "mmmm" and then the other foot and says "p.u" OMG it was so funny - and of course I got a pic.

Oh my girl. She's always trying to entertain! I have no idea where she gets it!

Speaking of entertaining. Look how adorable she was going to school yesterday morning. She had ballet class! OMG she's so grown!

She's such a diva! But truthfully I wouldn't have it any other way! (ask me that again in a few years!)

Sensational Spring!

Birds Chirping. Short Sleeved Shirts. The buzzing of a lawn mower. The smell of blooming flowers & trees. More daylight!!!!!!

All of the wonderful things I love about spring! Spring is my favorite season. After every depressing Winter I'm so ready for a new start a new beginning and a new fresh season. Spring is the perfect way to end Winter in my opinion. I really do love living someplace that has all four seasons. Although I'd love Florida for more warmer weather I can't imagine it not being cold around Christmas. The last few days have been GORGEOUS and it's so refreshing. It makes me feel so great.

This weekend while at Jaime's house with the girls I took some time out to take a few pics of her Daffodils. Jaime LOVES Daffodils and now I think I know why, look how they scream SPRING! They are so beautiful!

I'm so ready for Spring. I'm glad it's here!
I'm so obsessed with it.

Another of my recent obsession - Cherry Sours (OMG I'm addicted) LOVE THEM!

If you haven't tried them you have too! They aren't over the top sour! TRY THEM! hehe!
HAPPY SPRING!

FUN FUN WEEKEND!

I'm back to reality but have mercy did I have a good weekend!!

We had a blast getting together, us Flowers! It's so great getting together with the girls that know you best and gabbing until 3 am about well chocolate, shoes, pedicures and husbands! These are my sisters! God didn't think I should be blessed with Sisters until I reached about 20. Then these beautiful beauties came into my life!

Arrived Friday about 4:30 or so and we vegged until we all arrived and then had Chinese for dinner. Up until 3am chatting and then early to rise on Saturday!

Saturday was great. Pedicures in the morning (ah, heaven). Shopping all day! Literally! Throwing in food here and there! Up late again chatting (we can't help ourselves!) Sunday I had the great pleasure of snapping some shots of one of my favorite baby girls. Chelsea was a doll all weekend. She's one of those babies that if you don't want 10 after being around her you truly know you don't want kids because she's heaven. Smiley and lovable and well just down right adorable all around! Check her out!

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FROM THE DAY!

Oh so sweet! I snapped some of the pups too! Jaime's dogs are great! Kobe & Allie I miss you guys so much too.

Oh I've needed a girl weekend so badly! It was sad leaving Girlie behind with Daddy but she was spoiled while we were gone! See...

Oh to be so blessed... ok well I am! In all facets of my life!

It was a great time. Thanks again girls, I miss you so much already - wanna move to Nashville?

GIRLS WEEKEND!!

I'm extremely lucky to have a wonderful group of college girlfriends. These ladies are like my sisters and I'm so blessed that they are in my life still today!

We just recently had our 10th Christmas get together, talk about a milestone! I love that we have our daily chats on email and monthly book club chats on MSN but most importantly I love that we get together at least quarterly (yes, we're all accounting people). That time with my girls is the most blessed.

Look at us MANY moons ago (my guess is this is about 11 years ago, at my house in WV)

Then the most recent pic I have of us (unfortunately not all together) Girlie took these

I will be sure to get a good picture of us together this trip! We need one! Maybe even like a posed one that looks decent. Oh, I know - you girls need to come to Nashville and let Kate take some pics of us together! :)

I love my Flowers (this is our group nickname).

SEE YOU GIRLS SOON!

St. Patty's Day Treats!!!

I was browsing blogs the other day and came upon some of the cutest treats for St. Patrick's Day posted at On a Whimm I decided to try them out and take them in for school friends today.

Girlie LOVED helping lay everything out and more importantly making sure the chocolate wasn't going to hurt anyone LOL

We made a ton - 50 to be exact.

I just think they are so adorable!

She picked out a clip art and we just made a label for Ziploc bags. Each kid got two a piece and the teachers got 3.

I didn't have any fancy box to put them in so I just lined a shoebox with foil. It worked well enough lol

The class was excited to see a treat coming in this morning. They are fragile though so I had to be careful! I'll report back later after they have actually been taste tested!

Back in the saddle, oh pool I guess!

Girlie's swim lessons started again on Sunday.
She had her last one in late November so it has been awhile since the last set. She did great though. A little rusty but overall a great swimmer, still!

I just love Sweetman Swim. We're so lucky that Mr. Gareth is such a good teacher and has a real passion for helping children save their lives in the water. We love him and can't wait to have more lessons next week and then this summer!

I was afraid her knowledge of jump and roll had left her, but on the first try just like riding a bike she did it!

It's so great to know that in the event of her falling into a body of water she has the tools to be able not to drown. Since we have a pool it was always a big worry of mine. She still needs work, but we're getting there for sure!

Maybe someday I'll have an olympic athelete on my hands! GO FOR THE GOLD BABY! Let's just hope she doesn't go Michael Phelps on us. lol just teasing!

Happy 52 to Momma!

My mom's birthday was last Friday. She turned the big 52! She's great for 52 and even better now that she's being a good girl and taking care of herself.

We had dinner at SOL Restaurant with friends. Oh it was great! Good food and good fun!

After dinner we headed back home for cake & gifts. I decorated just a bit to make it festive looking.

We ordered a plain white frosted cake from our local bakery and Girlie had fun decorating it with all sorts of yummy items!

Getting a taste of the icing - yum!

SPRINKLES!!!

THE END RESULT

We got her an MP3 player and Girlie painted her some suncatchers (which I have yet to take a pictures of - bad mommy!)

Mom loved her cake and didn't have a bit of trouble blowing out the candles... hehe

She enjoyed decorating the cake but enjoyed eating it much more!

On Saturday we rented a limo and went OUT ON THE TOWN! Girlie stayed with our dear friend (whom I thank a bunch - *VH* AE) and we had an adult night - WOOHOO!

Us in front of the limo

LtoR: Pat, Deborah, Me, Mom, James & Kim

Mom, Kim & Pat

Deborah & I - woa we're hot! lol

Our first stop was dinner at Chappy's . The food was great but the service was slow. I'd recommend going there, just don't be in any hurry to eat and go! Make that your only reservation! They gave your leftovers in foil shaped as a swan - so funny. Pat got hers and had to play with it. It made for a great topic of conversation!

Next was The Melting Pot for dessert! Gotta love chocolate fondue. We had the Original (chocolate with crunchy peanut butter - TO DIE FOR!) and the Flaming Turtle (chocolate with caramel and nuts - good but not as to die for as the original).

We were all finished by then, it was already 11:00 pm so we decided to call it a night. It was such a great time! I'm so glad that I like hanging out with my coworkers even on non-work hours.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! I hope it was a good one!
