Vacation planned, finally!

We had a terrific 4th of July weekend with family in Louisville. Girlie decided to stay there for a few days without us and she's done amazing! She's such a big girl and Mamaw has bragged a great deal about how good she has been, so proud. She'll be home tomorrow and I can't wait! It's not the same around the house without her.
The long weekend was nice but a big piece of news for us is that we finally have a destination for our vacation this year. The destination is quite honestly my favorite place on the planet. Ok, so I can't speak for every place as I've not been everywhere but of all the places I've ever visited this is my favorite.

In August we'll be heading to DISNEY WORLD :) I can't wait. I'm as excited as a child and will probably not sleep a wink the night before we fly out. lol I've been there many times but I swear everytime it gets better and I love it more. What's even more exciting is that it will be Girlie's first time! Oh the joy! I hope she likes it. The only problem I think she might have is the characters. Too bad they are a pretty big part of the experience. hehe She's so scared of dressed up people. Maybe Minnie and Mickey will get her straight out of it.

The place we are staying in Orlando is called Minnie's Mews at Terrace Ridge. I found a great deal on it on VRBO. It seems really nice, has gotten rave reviews and I'm already pleased with the owner I've spoken too.

Check out one of the bedrooms in the condo - so cute!

and the pool area

We'll visit Disney's Magic Kingdom and who knows what other Disney park but also Sea World. I can't wait to see Mickey and Shamu. Another HUGE bonus is that we'll see the Klipa's again. Anna for sure but hopefully Pete and the rest of the fam as well.

August can't get her soon enough. I know, I know, I'm not rushing the summer I want it to last as long as possible but I truly can't wait to have a week off work and go to Florida. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and I hope your summer is shaping up as nice as ours has been.

Ang, steal away but we got a better deal than what is posted on that website by going through VRBO. Just a little side bit of info! I'll even forward you the lady's email address if you desire!

I wondered which beach you guys went too. Do you have a blog I can get too?

I love Disney too. Heck, we were engaged there! As far as the characters - they don't walk freely through the park as much as they used to, so maybe she won't be startled by one. Mainly they are in their designated areas at certain times so people can plan to meet them and take pictures.

I would be so excited to be taking a little one for the first time!

Sounds like a wonderful vacation!! I've never even been close to Disneyworld and my kids are all grown up so what are the chances that will ever happen! :) Hope you enjoy it as I am sure you will...sounds just amazing. :)

You asked about the paper I used on the Wedding programs. I have found the most amazing paper! It's brand is The Paper Cut and it is called Natural Felt. As far as I know it comes in cream and white. I absolutely LOVE this paper. It prints very very nice and cuts perfectly. It really makes creations look lovely no matter what! Although I usually order it from the local scrapbook store, you can get in online at thepapercut.com

Have a great day! :)

Ohhh, what a great vacation! I love Disney as an adult, I can't imagine how much fun it will be to take Sydney for the first time! We love vrbo, we used it for our condo in Maui and I will use it from now on!
