Hello Blogland!
I know it's been way too long. Like forever long but honestly I haven't had anything worth blogging about. Even right now, while I'm typing this, I can't come up with a single good reason that I'm blogging. Well, maybe except for Jennifer!
HELLO JENNIFER!
She emailed me the other day and asked when I planned on updating the blog.
So this is your update LOL
Things have been going great. Girlie is finally adjusted nicely to school and is doing much better behavior wise. We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with my brother and his family in North Carolina. We are gearing up for a wonderful Christmas (NEXT WEEK - GET OUT!) and we had our first notable snowfall this week (maybe I'll get a few pics of that up in a bit)
But the biggest event coming up is the 6th birthday of our beautiful girlie! :)
How did she get so big so fast? TIME PLEASE SLOW DOWN!
Until next time (whenever that may be)
Have a great day!

Let's Get Ready to SHOWER!!!
This weekend we spent time in Louisville doing fun celebrations. Saturday was my neice's 10th bithday party. We celebrated wtih a fun time skating. Sunday I threw a baby shower for hubby's cousin. She's having her first boy of 4 gilrls between the two of them and her youngest is 14, so she needed somethings :)
Since they decided to go with a sports theme for the baby's room I decided I would carry that through the shower :) It worked nicely I think!
The centerpieces were vases filled with green shred and then different sports balls and pennants. I sat them on a piece of scrapbook paper with baby booties and a big plastic paci.
I didn't really get pics of the football and basketball ones.

We had the yummiest cupcakes. I topped them with picks I made and cupcake wrappers I cut out of scrapbook paper.

For the food table I made this green football field tablecloth. Just got green fabric and used white medical tape for the yard lines :) Easy, inexpensive and I think it turned out adorable.

I gave all the food fun sports names. If you look closely you can tell these were curve ball cupcakes :)

Since sporting events are nothing without popcorn, peanuts & cracker jacks :) Paper cones made from scrapbook paper.

I made tissue pom poms and hung the different sports balls from them.

Made this banner with scrapbook paper. I used the Cricut for the letters.

The drink station. Used those ever popular stripped straws, made coordinating sports labels for the water. Lucked up and found sports drinks in sports ball containers :)

I had centered that pom and the pennants on the food table but then we had to move it a little and I never got around to moving them. I found these plain pennants and let the kids decorate them however they wanted the day before. They had a blast and it added a little extra touch. I hung them all over the shower spot

Baseball & High Heels
WOW I've been slacking! I haven't really too much to post about lately. I've been taking pics of girlie everyday before school but posting them on Facebook and didn't figure need for them here. But I have something to blog about today.... baseball!!
Girlie has been wanting a baseball glove and bat for sometime and this weekend she finally got one. But not just any glove and bat would do. Miss THANG had to have pink, of course.
Saturday evening her and Daddy went out to play a bit and I had to get some pics of her first time playing "catch" with Daddy. What's even better is the child put on a skirt and "heels" to play in!
Look at that face... the concentration! She missed, but gave it 110%

see the heels?
This cracks me up... a running throw? I love the action here!

She's got a decent arm really!
Daddy showing her the batters stance lol
She actually hit it a few times!!
She loved it! But mostly I think she loved her pink sports gear, and what girl wouldn't?
But baseball in heels... she amazes me!

Lunch time!
I will now admit to you that I took the entire first week of girlie's first week at school OFF FROM WORK. That's right, vacation time for me to stay at home and do nothing. Or shop, eat and shop more! :)
Thursday I decided to go have lunch with girlie at school. She was surprised to see me and loved that I was there to have lunch with her. I hope I can do it more times in the future.
I wanted to grab at least a few pics of the occassion.
Look at her face in this first one. That girl is nuts LOL

But then I asked for a better face and got this... much better LOL

Then we both smiled for the camera and I think she was posing the corn dog stick as well!
hehe

It was fun and I had wished with all the wishes I have that they were having the school pizza, as you can see I didn't luck up, but maybe next time. Notice that girlie chose the chocolate milk as well, her fave. I hate that I can't make sure she doesn't have it LOL At least she runs it off before she gets home.
I can't wait to do it again.
