SANTA!!

Post #2 for today!!! See the one about the gingerbread house below!!!

This weekend was a fun one for us. We hosted my college girlfriends for the weekend for our annual Christmas get together. This is #11 for us! I love those girls so much. They are much like sisters!

Here we all four are (picture taken by girlie)

Girlie and Aunt J

We had such a great time. Girlie and A loved being together and had a blast with all the toys. We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and shopped til we dropped! WE MISS YOU GIRLS ALREADY!!

Then last night we headed out to see SANTA!! She is still a little apprehensive but she did great. She was going to tell him she wanted three things: a salon, hello kitty roller skates and a teddy bear to sleep with. However, when she got up there she got scared and only told him the salon. Well, Santa is really going to try and bring all three ;)

Here she is waiting to see Santa

We visited Santa at the Bass Pro Shop in Opry Mills Mall. You can take your own pic and they print out a free 4x6. Here is my pic

Girlie has also been having fun with a 12 days of Christmas basket. On the first day of Christmas her Mommy gave to her, a sip-a-bowl (bowl with a straw on it lol). On the second day of Christmas her Mommy gave to her, a set of Snowman gel window clings. On the third day of Christmas her Mommy gave to her, a set of ball popper toys (hard to describe lol)

Daddy also got a 12 days basket and his gifts so far were football cards and hand sanitizer. Since he hasn't opened todays I won't tell just in case he reads the blog (wishful thinking!)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! There will be more going on in here soon!

Gingy House

Last year we made our first gingerbread house with my brother's kids while they were here for Thanksgiving. It was so fun we decided to make it a holiday season tradition.
This year I let Girlie go to town all by herself. The one I bought this year wasn't as big as last and the icing wasn't as easy to work with but it was fun either way.

Plenty of pics to do the talking!

Isn't this the prettiest gingerbread house you ever did see?

I know this is DEFINITELY the cutest girlie you ever did see!!

Christmas traditions are super fun! We need more!

I'm blogging about the Christmas Giveaway she's doing. She's giving away a $25 gift certificate for her original artwork and goodies. I wanted to pass along the chance, but know that I hope I win hehe

Go HERE now to enter!!! Oh, and be sure to look at all her wonderful things, she's really really good!

Christmas is coming

If you haven't quite noticed I'm beginning to get into the Holiday spirit. Given my blog a makeover, thanks to Shabby Blogs, and it's even snowing in here :) LOVE IT!

This past Sunday we did our first Holiday fun thing. We went to the Donelson/Hermitage Christmas parade. It was a blast. There were quite a few things in the parade actually and I was bad about picture taking. My camera wasn't my friend this night... I'm not very good with pictures in the dark... so anyway. Snow bird was there, our local news weather mascot. The Grinch was there - twice and then Santa made an appearance at the end. Such a fun time.

Here are the pics I did get.

All bundled up and totally cute!

Never without her silly face though

She wanted to take a pic of us acting cold, lol. I was making some weird oooo as in cold face hehe

There's Snow Bird

The Shriners had the cutest vehicles and clowns.

Look at this little rig... so cute.

And the pic that is now in my header we took that night of all three of us bundled up. We'll be doing this every year. Girlie loved it and so did James. It was her first Christmas parade!
Our next fun Christmas thing will be going to ICE! Can't wait!

First Swim Meet - finally!

I've had my camera back for a bit but I just now had a chance to upload the pictures from Girlie's swim meet I posted the video from.

I'm so lucky that someone returned my camera unharmed. I owe you big coach Jennifer from Oakland High School!

Finally pics from the big day!

all decked out in her PCA swimwear. Doesn't she look so proud?

The team right before they started

Her first heat. The 25 Freestyle. She placed last (she's only 4 people)

Giving it all she's got...

Her second heat 50 Freestyle, again with last place (and again she's only 4 people)

Getting ready to push off for her last heat 25 backstroke

ROCKIN' IT!

In the locker room afterward showing off her arm with her heat & lane listed. (THIS is where I left my camera *sigh* )

Our swimmer! So proud of her medal! WAY TO GO! WAY TO GO SEALIONS!

We are so proud of her. Most importantly, she's proud of herself and LOVES it. :) I'll be posting more about her meets so keep checking back!
Aren't you glad my camera was found? Boy, I sure am!

Mega Update!

I'm pretty far behind in my updating! :) Sorry about that. So to make up for it I'm posting a ton of pictures. We had a great Thanksgiving but I'm going to start a few days before that.

On Monday before Thanksgiving we had the pleasure of going to a Predators game. We got tickets through work and boy were we spoiled!! We were in the suites with CENTER ice view. Awesome...

Girlie LOVED it. Her very first words the minute we walked out of the suite after the game was "can we come back soon"

James loved it too!

Thanks Mom for getting us the tickets!!

The suite! It had it's own restroom - get out!!

My two fav peeps enjoying the game.

US!

FANG FINGERS *eek-eek*

We had a blast and YAY the Preds beat the Red Wings. It was great!
Wednesday I took off work. I still had to go to my clients office and I took her with me. I knew she'd be in the car a great deal that day so we stopped off after my client to a place called Monkey's Treehouse. It was our first time there and it was cute. She really liked it. It's a much smaller version of the Discovery Center we visit in Murfreesboro, but it was really nice and I loved that I didn't have to pay for myself.

Look how cute she was dressed. My little diva.
She loved climbing all over things and going in and out of the treehouse.

Then came Thanksgiving. We went to Louisville Wednesday evening. Thursday morning we were up and ready to hit the food :)
Me and my girlie before we ate!
Cheesing for the camera!
With Bitty!
We did have a great holiday and we have so much to be Thankful for. YOU are one of them and we are blessed to have you in our lives! It's already December and we have SO MUCH coming up soon. We have a visit from friends (WE CAN'T WAIT), Girlie's school Christmas play, Christmas and then she turns 5!! What a busy month it will be!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Happy Decemeber!
